Collection: Encaustic Medium

Mysterious, abstract and luminous works created with molten beeswax and pigment. Some featured Doric expressions, hidden words and reclaimed, repurposed and recycled elements with secrets for you to discover and own. All tell stories and are inspired by Folklore, nature and symbols.

Doric 9 Panel

A unique encaustic artwork made of nine mixed media tiles, each carrying fragments of Doric language. Inks, pastels, gold Japanese ink and hand written expressions create a vibrant tribute to the North East of Scotland. A joyful, conversational piece from the 2024 to 2025 exhibition Observations of an Incomer. Framed and ready to hang.

Tiendland Views

Inspired by the forest to coast views of a favourite hiking route, Tiendland Views is a richly layered mixed media abstract. Built with modelling paste, inks, pastels, Japanese papers and encaustic medium, the work carries a sense of shifting light and distance. Mounted and framed by the artist in a hand painted frame with subtle gilding.
